Where did February Go?!?

Some how or another, it has been two WEEKS?! since my last blog entry.  I don’t know about you all but February has been insanely busy, nonstop, and EXHAUSTING!! I don’t know how you people do this life thing with miniature humans added into the mix?!  . . . .By the way, first blog shout out to my best friend, the most gorgeous new mommy ever and her beautiful, teeny tiny little man, Rusty! He. is. the. sweetest.  Can’t wait to go back and visit them again!! . . . Anyway, I blinked, and now it’s Leap Day!  How did that happen!? Anyway, today’s reading is quite random and filled with disconnected topics, so either -bear with- orrrr stop reading now 🙂

Dr Seuss’s birthday is coming up, and when I went to get out my Dr. Seuss units and ideas from last year, I was PLEASANTLY surprised when I realized that my “Seuss” file is in my SPRING binder!! Yay!! Bring on the sunshine and flip flops! Anyway, my firsties and I had some fun making a Pinterest inspired (shocker, I know) Thing 1 & 2 craft that I’ve never made with them before. Some turned out much cuter than others, but here is a great one! . . .

Speaking of Seuss-a-palooza, we, of course also decorated our classroom for the upcoming festivities on Friday.  I even have a group of homeroom mothers that are going to come in on Friday afternoon to have a Seuss themed “party” with us!  Here are some pictures of our classroom!

I’m pretty pumped to see what Friday brings to the 24 Dr Seuss fans in room 106 🙂

Speaking of fans – did you know that I’m a NASCAR fan? My mom grew up around racing – my pap was one of the most well known dirt track racers in the state of PA – and as I grew up, my parents always had NASCAR on on Sundays.  Welp – a perfect combination of nature and nurture took hold of me and I turned into a NASCAR fan! Now, when Ryan and I spent most of our Sundays traveling back to our designated states of “home”, I kind of lost interest. (Dale Jr. – my fave now that the Intimidator is up getting a lesson or 2 from my Pap<3 –  kinda junked it up for those years any way, so I wasn’t missing much) But, I still consider myself a fan and never EVER miss the Daytona 500 – you know…the Super Bowl of racing…that happens at the beginning of the season?! Yeah, that.  We had a menu planned for the event and everything – until mother nature decided to cancel and reschedule the race until Monday! And then – did you SEE the scariness that was a 2 hour red flag on Monday?! Whew.  Craziness.  Anyway – hopefully I just made that list of yours entitled “Huh, I never would’ve guessed”.  haha 🙂

Ok people – I’m going to tell you one more time – if, for WHATEVERRRR reason, you are not yet on Pinterest, YOU NEED TO BE!!! Yes, it is addicting and time consuming, but I have made/done/used/created/cooked/ETC!! so many things that I have pinned!! This weekend’s Pinspirations were stuffed pepper soup in the crock pot, a new workout, lots of school ideas, and endless giggles – including this one: “I’m not a nerd, I’m an intellectual badass.”  Yup.

Also, Pinterest makes me want to have a baby for the great photo ops anddd it makes me want to get married again orrr makes me want to plan another wedding…whichhhh will hopefully soon become a reality.  For a beautiful hermanita.  Very soon.  Hopefully. 🙂 🙂

Also – if you did not see the Big Bang Theory on Thursday, shame on you.  Hulu it.  It.  Was.  Ah.  MAZING.  I love intellectual badasses named Sheldon Cooper.  And if you are not watching Idol this season – reconsider.  The talent is RIDICULOUS!!

For the record – I love a lot of things, but this morning I decided to tell all of you that I LOVE ZUMBA! Just signed up for another 8 weeks that will end in MAY?!?!? holy.  crap.  If you haven’t tried it, and need some fun cardio in your life – I highly recommend it!

Ok, friends, it will NOT be 2 weeks before I post again – I’ll put it on a post-it, stick it on this beaut of a to-do list below,  and get-er-done 🙂
