November Currently and a few other things :)

Happy November! I love November – it’s my birthday month, it’s my dad’s birthday month, and it’s the month during which it’s socially acceptable to sing christmas carols 24/7.  I love Christmas – I love singing – I love singing Christmas songs.  haha 🙂 So with that being said, November is always welcomed with open arms!  . . . 

But before moving onto November, here are a few pictures of our Halloween math centers and Halloween party yesterday:

 

We have GREAT parents and families at my school, and they couldn’t have done a better job providing the kiddos with a super fun afternoon.  The kids even rocked a reading test right before our party?!? How they did that, I have no idea!! The kids were super well behaved at the party, too.  At one point, the parents said to me – and I quote – “this is the quietest classroom party ever!”.  I was proud.  haha 🙂

As I mentioned yesterday, November also brings me to the big 3-0 and I’m celebrating what is left of my 20s with a 20% off sale in my store.

 
Here are a few of my recent posts! If you’re working on nouns at all, Nouns Down! in my nouns pack was a hit this week with my kiddos 🙂 It’s a version of bang! but called Nouns Down! 🙂
 
And if you’re a Reading Wonders teacher, I’ve posted vocabulary and HFW word cards to go along with your reading focus walls for 1st and 2nd grade!  🙂 Hope you can use them!
 

 Ok, so with October wrapped up, it’s time to welcome November by linking up with Farley for this month’s Currently! 



Listening : You all know that I love getting up and tackling the to-do list earlier than early and one of the reasons why is because it’s so quiet.  Quiet ranks right up there with coffee when it comes to my favorite things in the world. 🙂

 Thinking : So I went to a Scentsy party last night during which I officially started my Christmas shopping . . . dare I do some more today?!? I’m all about getting school work done well in advance but I never seem to get Christmas shopping done early enough!

Wanting: I’ve had a NAGGING sore throat and cough the last few days #whichmadehalloweenwith7yearoldsextrafun so I’m ALL for this cough hitting the road ANY time now. 🙂

Needing: Now that I’ve just about caught up with my blog entry, it’s time for coffee and some lesson plans before heading off to Zumba!

I made this DELISH oreo layer cake last year for a luncheon at work I found on Pinterest here.  It was a hit and EASY!! The worst part was smashing the Oreos!

    Your sister's wedding pictures turned out cute. I have been thinking about holiday shopping too so I don't think it is too early. This oreo layer cake looks delish!
