Hi friends! I know that I always say that I’m popping in quickly to . . . . but I’m SERIOUSLY just popping in quickly for a FUN . . .{ what?!? Ashley teachers have fun?!? } linky with two of my favorites – Molly from Lucky to be in First and Dierdre from A Burst of First for their new Sunday Funday linky!!
Ok, so to the fun . . . well, ok, so it’s more so the what random things did I do today that WEREN’T teacher related . . . [next week I’ll PLAN something more fun to share:)]
Anyway. . . this morning, hubby hit pause on his CPA studying and I hit pause on my TPTing and we went on a date . . . .to Bob Evans…. followed by Giant Eagle … romantic, right?
He may or may not have cut me off with the cart, and I may or may not have tossed the oatmeal into the cart with a Michael Jordan like move . . .haha. With our crazy busy lives right now, it was fun for us. Sad, I know…but fun nonetheless!
So NOW after our successful date at Giant Eagle . . .our house is smelling RIDICULOUSLY delicious . .
We’re making CHILI!! It’s still very much so winter here in NE ohio, and turkey chili in the crock pot will feed us for days. YUMMO!!
Here’s hubby’s handwritten (I’m not claiming that handwriting as my own haha) version of the recipe after I told him that my IG and bloggy friends were asking for it 🙂
the last word is jalepeno . . . again, not my handwriting haha |
I can hardly wait to eat!!
So there ya have it!! My Sunday Funday! Go link up and share your funday plans, too!

Yummo! I love a good chili on a cold day. We have actually had better weather here in south TX lately. We had some pretty cold days (cold for us and probably not for most). I pulled out all of our soup and chili recipes too. Right now I'm trying to figure out what to make for dinner with the chicken breast I pulled out earlier. Hmmm…Pinterest here I come.

Have another recipe for you to try that is SUPER easy! Mix 1 lb. cooked ground beef, 2 cans dark red kidney beans, 2 cans enchilada sauce, a bunch of FRITOS, as much shredded cheese as you want, and top with sour cream (unless you are like my kids and HATE the stuff). Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes and then eat WITH MORE FRITOS!!!! I bought the scoopable kind. Mexican Casserole – Voila!
