InkJoy pens, dry erase crayons, and green Bic pens (love these to grade with but have a really hard time finding them now)… I could go on and on… LOVE, LOVE, LOVE coloring/writing utensils!!!
I flip out when people borrow my Bic pens and then take them! It is a simple black or blue ink pen, but it writes soooo nicely! I have even stockpiled them at my house. {hoarder} Stacey Teaching Ever After
I absolutely love my flair pens and I find myself telling people who borrow these from my desk to make sure that they return them. I'm sure they think I'm crazy but I love flair pens! I buy the pack of 15 assorted colors. π
SMELLY MARKERS for charts, Flair/Bic Pens ( must have RAINBOW colors). Kiddos use TRI CONDEROGA FAT pencils only for 1st half the year…then regular ticonderoga pencils 2nd half. Wendy 1stgradefireworks
I am new to the flair pens, I have multiple sets but don't like to let others use them because I don't want to lose a color from my home or school set. I do have extra pens if someone needs a pen. Sara Frampton's FUNdamentals
Anchor Chart's can only be made with Mr. Sketch!!!! I've only been using those markers since 2008!!! Wow!!! They are my favorite too:) Love, Dianna Sassy, Savvy, Simple Teaching
I have my pencil pouch filled with my think Mr.Sketch markers, flair pens, and my favorite mechanical pencils! I can't leave home without any of those items! I use Sharpie chart markers for my anchor charts because they don't fade!
Love that I'm not the only one with certain utensils for certain items.
Girl, I hear you! I LOVE the thin crayola markers to grade and I use the list making Flairs. lol great minds!!! I also have my black gel pens that I use for office forms because you have to use black ink that is dark. They are smooth and the only non colored writing item that I use besides the yellow Ticonderoga pencils. π
Haha! I LOVE that I'm not the only one who flips when someone takes a pen! And I'm SUCH a hoarder, too!! π (with pens. and post its. and clip art?!)
Oh my utensils most definitely have jobs! π ANNND I don't have a pencil pouch (my pens always exploded out of it) . . . I bought a make up bag… a HUGE make up bag! haha!
I love your picture this week! And I about screamed when I saw that you grade with Crayola markers!! I thought I was the only one haha. Thanks for linking up this week friend!! π
Love this!! I too love grading in markers, I hate grading in normal pen. I feel that the marker is so much easier to see, and stands out more to parents as well. I rarely, rarely use red, and try not to even have red in my classroom. I haven't dipped into flair pens or scentos. I keep seeing flair pens popping up though, so I may have to try those out!!
EEEK!! That makes me squeal that we use the same grading tool haha! <3 I seriously LOVE this linky – – – I am going to make a chunk of time this weekend to go through more of the posts! SO FUN! Thanks for hosting, girl! . . .PS. We should totally do coffee or lunch some time!! π π I'd love to pick your brain about a few things <3
AGREEEEEED about the red! And the marker is so much easier to grade in to see what you've marked wrong when you're counting the mistakes! PLUS! A marker "star" is so much more fun than one made in pen! π Flair pens are fabuloussss . . . . Mrs. Reidmiller on IG had a post about LIQUID flairs that she swears are better than flair . . . I'm super tempted!! π
My Flair pens are a must for my lesson planning. I love Crayolas markers for grading and Mr. Sketch for charts. I also use them for a quick mark on papers we do together. The kids love the instant smell they get…they take turns picking which color we use, too! I'm a pencil snob and only like Ticonderoga (the best!!) For just regular writing I have discovered Bic Cristal and love them! (Especially the pink and purple) π I love the large makeup bag idea, my pencil pouch barely closes! I may have a problem :-O

Your teacher go-to utensils look very similar to mine: Mr. Sketch, Scentos, Flair Pens, Tichonderoga pencils, and mechanical pencils!

Looks similar to mine!!! Those are all my favorites! I prefer a basic pencil to mechanical!
I love Mr. Sketch, but mine fade if I leave the charts up for more than a few weeks. π
I love crayola markers…I have every color in the thick style and love how bright they make my anchor charts! π

I bought the 15 pack this time too!! I love the pretty pink one! Which is the one I left at school yesterday…it wasn't a good situation for me haha!
Oh I LOVE rainbow colors, too! Thanks for commenting!! π
I'm seriously so glad that I'm not the only one who is a bit possessive about her pens! π Thanks for commenting!
Agreed!! π π
I'm sort of ashamed to say . . .never have I ever used or owned a Scentos! ;/ Yikes!
Oh TOTALLY basic pencil over mechanical!
I've had pretty good luck with the ones I have laminated, but ones that I don't laminate, I agree!
YES!! my flairs are my EC planner writing tool, too! π
Oh my utensils most definitely have jobs! π ANNND I don't have a pencil pouch (my pens always exploded out of it) . . . I bought a make up bag… a HUGE make up bag! haha!
YES YES YES!! π I LOVE the thin Crayolas so so much! π And colorful writing tools are the only way to go! !
