Happy Friday, sweet friends of mine!! I have been CRAZY busy prepping for a little saleeee I’ve gotten wind of and am SO excited to share a few sneak peeks and highlights with you in this week’s FIVE FOR FRIDAY LINK UP WITH DOODLE BUGS TEACHING!
Ok – let’s face it. We’re in back to school #gasp mode, right? Right.
I know. I know.
I won’t admit – ok or maybe I will – how excited I am to meet my new kids. Seriously. I LOVE 2nd GRADERS<3 #hopingforanotherfabulousgrouplikelastyear!
ANY WAY! I’ve been in prep mode – well – all summer, I suppose, ANNNND this week, I did a little bit of Open House prep!
Hahah – YEP I cut out 30 scalloped frames to go with these 30 sets of Rock Candy lollipops! Ha – ohhh the things that summer gives you the time to do! After many requests, I shared these tags in my store – you can take a look {HERE} for just $1 !! The rock candy my mom ordered online somewhere like candy.com. no joke. It was candy for my sister’s candy table at her wedding so #leftoverbenefitsareendless !
They turned out so so cute and are so colorfully inviting on the kids’ desks right now!! In the set on TPT, I’ve made tags to go with grades K-5! I hope you like them! 🙂
AHHHHHH I’m so glad I pulled an all nighter to finish this puppy!! {and by all nighter, I mean I was up until almost midnight. whoa. #notmything}
I AM SO EXCITED TO FINISH LAMINATING THIS TO HAVE SET FOR THE FIRST WEEKS OF SCHOOL WITH MY KIDDOS!!
Check. it. OUT!!

I’ve made a Back to School MATH Workout for 2nd grade! It is a GREAT tool to use for pre-assessment data collection, for math introduction of a variety of 2nd grade math skills, or to just get your kiddos up and moving and excited about math during the first weeks of school!
This set includes activities for:
Telling Time
Money
Fact Fluency
Skip Counting and
Place Value
I’m working on a detailed blog post for you to come this weekend!! STAY TUNED!
Earlier this week, I was on a beginning of the year math activity creating kick, too!! Last year near the end of the year, I created a Place Value with QR codes for my more advanced 2nd graders …
-click the image to take a closer look!-
And then, I was asked to create a similar set including numbers with 2 and 3 digits, and I thought – that would be PERFECT for a back to school place value and self checking activity!
Alas – It’s created and available in my store! 🙂
There are FOUR sets of differentiated task cards included, sets with AND without QR codes, AND printer friendly task card options, too! I LOVE how they turned out!
Check out the newest set {HERE} to snag this engaging place value activity to use with your 2nd graders this year!
Just LOVE those scrappy kid clipart images by Mel at Graphics from the Pond!! Don’t you?!?!? Oh and if you’re wondering how I made that preview collage – have you seen my first ever video tutorial post from my Weekend Warrior post this past weekend?!? Check out some collage making tips HERE to see what I’m talking about! I got some of the SWEETEST blog love from my posts this weekend!
OK – I’m mostly letting the image speak for itself on this one.
Confession: I just HAD to make cute to do lists before starting my to do lists earlier this week.
I mean…
Washi tape clip art?!?!? WHAT?!?!
It was a must. make. immediately kind of deal. So – with the help of some Melonheadz clipart and a Bubbly Borders and More frame – you’ve got EDITABLE TO DO LISTS that are cuter than cute. I mean. Seriously. LOVE! Right?!? What teacher doesn’t like to do lists that involve washi tape?!
And lastly. It’s like Starbucks knows way too much about me.
I’ve been asked a few times this week – “How do you do it all?!” “How do you get it all done?” “Share your secrets!”
Y’all – it’s no secret. I just HONESTLY am more passionate about my job – about this TPT journey and network that I ADORE – and about sharing it all with all of you – than about anything else, truly.
Fact #andafunvisual : My dental hygienist asked me about TPT this week. I giggled when she wanted to know more because I knew – mid cleaning – mid molar scraping – mid mouth exam – I wasn’t going to be able to shut up! HA! She said to me “Ashley, I’ve never heard someone so passionate or excited about anything in my life. We need more teachers like you to be filling our schools! I want to be in your class!”
Welp. Water works. And confirmation that YES the long hours or {my definition of } all nighters are WELLLL worth it. Because I LOVE WHAT I DO. I just love it. SO much. THANK YOU for being part of my passion each and every day <3. I HEART YOU ALL!
oh….PS!!!!! HAVE YOU ENTERED THE PINAWAY GIVEAWAY THAT I’M CO-HOSTING WITH MY BLOGGY FRIENDS!!??? Click below to read ALLLL about it and enter to win our MUST HAVES for back to school!!
