Hey all! I’m coming at you today with my WEEKEND WARRIORS as we always do to bring you tips, tricks, ideas, and a few products on the last weekend of every month!!
This month’s theme is Back to School COOOOL! Other than the whole NOT being able to wear yoga pants every single day, I’d have to agree! 🙂
**If you missed my Back to School COOOOl post yesterday, I explained my new SCOOT JR idea that is going to be a LIFE saver this year with 29 7 year olds. OOFDA! Click {here} to get caught up on yesterday’s post to hear and see all about SCOOT JR! 🙂
Now that back to school is pretty much in fuller than full swing, I wanted to show you how I’m planning on displaying my kid work in the hallway this year!
On my first day of school plans . . . {see below} . . .
I had planned to create the ADORABLE Bustin’ into School creativity by First Grade Blue Skies! I KNEWWW (and was right) that I would HAVE to hang them up ASAP because the level of cute would just be too much to NOT hang for all to see. Although I didn’t quite get to the craft on day 1 (I had high hopes, but I settled for day 2), we DID get it done on the second day of second grade – which just sounds cooler anyway, right?!
I was SO so glad that I had my kid work display in the hallway ready to go, because these cute busses were hanging up before I left school that night!! . . . check it out!! . . .
Do you see how they’re hanging by a cute little composition notebook {by Ashley Hughes} name plate?! These composition notebook name plates are hanging in the hallway right above our class’s lockers, so it’s a beauty of a straight line full of KID WORK from my kidlettes!<3
All you need is:
1. Some sort of die cut or accent with each kids’ name. Mine are laminated to withstand the humidity of our non-air conditioned building. #sigh #sweatingfordays
2. Glue gun
3. Clothespins
4. Sticky Tack!
Once I made my accents with my kids’ names, I printed and laminated them, used hot glue to add a clothespin to the bottom of each, and used sticky tack to tack them to the wall!
I used this same display last year, and not a SINGLE clip fell off of the accent nor did a single accent fall down once all year long!
P.S. I’m a sticky tack snob. I only use the BLUE sticky tack, and I think that this kind is the best…
See?!?! Aren’t they even cuter all lined up in a row?! Can you imagine all 29 of mine that take up nearly the length of the hallway?!? Perfection. And SOOOO easy to switch out kid work each month! You don’t need the stapler or your sticky tack to do the job! I used to DREAD changing out my kid work display, but now it’s so darn easy and QUICK to do, that I can hardly wait to get the next craft ready!! 🙂
**Quick hanging tip! – I have my clips all hung in alphabetical order – then, I collect the kids’ work in alphabetical order, and BOOM, you’re done hanging them up in minutes! 🙂
Also – while I’m here yapping sharing my ideas about the new year, I’ve had SO many requests this back to school season about my Editable Lesson Plan Template that you saw a sneak peek of above.
If you’re interested in using my planning template, you can click {HERE} or any of the images below to take a closer look at making it your own for the new school year!
Don’t forget! My warrior friends have LOTS of Back to School COOOOOL for you to check out, too! You’ve gotta check out their tips and tricks, too!! 🙂 Click their buttons below to check out their posts!

I love your display idea, I thought if doing something similar with just clothespins. I have 30 students in my class this year. By the way, your room looks great and I love the scoot jr. idea!

Girl, you are on a roll with the blog posts! Loving your comp books and clothespins for displaying work! I'm adding this to my to-do list! I almost made my hubby go into school with me so we could finish this project before school starts, but I will at least get the clothespins ready!
